Job Description:

Position is responsible for inventory management and inventory control, and accountable for site compliance of all corporate supplier agreements. Position will assist in managing the planning, implementation and fiscal responsibilities of the procurement of goods and services, including non-fiber raw materials, consumables and storeroom items, for a facility or multiple facilities.

  • Utilize demand forecasts and production schedules to plan and schedule incoming raw materials and consumables.
  • Manage raw materials and consumables inventory levels consistent with business strategies.
  • Implement a coordinated materials management approach to inventory management and procurement.
  • Optimize inventory levels in stores.
  • Leverage buying capabilities through coordination of purchases and development of relationships with key suppliers.
  • Assist in the overall cost reduction efforts of the factory.
  • Monitor, track, and improve supplier performance metrics at plant and regional level.
  • Team with key internal customers to meet their requirements for goods and services.
  • Communicate Supply Management strategies and projects at the factory.
  • Supervise storeroom staff.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced supply management staff.
  • Assist in the development of long-term supplier relationships.
  • Monitor inventory usage and perform data analyses to manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Manage inventory reporting process.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or related field required.
  • Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position..
  • Ability to operate a computer and supporting software.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficient at Inventory Management or Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
  • 3-5 years demonstrated procurement/supply chain management experience.
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience.
