MODESTO, Calif. (November 4, 2019) – Entekra invited local government officials and business leaders to its new U.S. headquarters in Modesto for a sneak peek at the new $35 million factory, which has begun limited production and will become fully operational in early 2020.
“The entire Entekra team is grateful for the continued support and assistance that we have received from the City of Modesto, Opportunity Stanislaus and the Central Valley community as we embarked on the first major expansion of our company’s history,” said CEO Gerard McCaughey.
“Providing this first look at the factory is our way of giving our sincere thanks for everything that has been done to facilitate the introduction of our Fully Integrated Off-Site Solution® (FIOSS®) to the U.S. market,” he added.
Upon completion, the Modesto factory will be the most technologically advanced construction-related factory in North America and boost Entekra’s annual production by 3,000 units. It will feature 10 automated production lines, including a 300-foot-line exterior wall panel line capable of manufacturing a wall frame of up to 37 feet in width and 11-1/2 feet in height.
“Since Entekra precision manufactured and assembled our first home in August 2017, we have focused on guiding home builders in the transition from inefficient stick-framing to off-site construction, and it is extremely rewarding to be recognized for our efforts and what we have accomplished in just two years,” added McCaughey.
Opportunity Stanislaus estimates that the total economic impact of Entekra locating its headquarters in the county is $158,619,259 and that the company’s ongoing business will have an additional annual impact of $97 million.
