Job Description:

Use pneumatic hand tools and other hand tools such as claw hammer, speed square, tape measure etc. Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operates variety of woodworking machines and use various hand tools to fabricate walls and floors in a manufacturing setting: Studies blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed.
  • Marks outline or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock, according to blueprint or drawing specifications.
  • Matches materials for color, grain, or texture.
  • Sets up and operates woodworking machines, such as power saws, planer, nail guns, power drills
  • Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
  • Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using boring machine.
  • Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit, using clamps or clamping machine.
  • Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints.
  • Adherence to all Health & Safety requirements.
  • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years experience
  • computer skills are essential
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English Language.
